Learning Technology Awards
Why take part?
JISC RSC East Midlands is promoting and supporting a series of local e-learning technology awards in order to discover good exemplars of e-learning within each learning provider, disseminate best practice in Information Learning Technology (ILT) and to reward staff who are contributing to the development of e-maturity at a local level.
The award is intended to identify and reward good, effective practice in the use of learning technology within the organisation and is open to teaching, learning support and business support staff within the organisation.
Here at the RSC we know that there are many unsung heroes working to provide a richer and more engaging experience for their learners through the use of technology and we would like to give all supported providers in our area the chance to reward these people.
What's involved?

Benefits for Learning Providers
This is a chance to motivate your staff and highlight excellence within your organisation.
Andrew Bailey
Learning Technologies Manager at Moulton College
"The award scheme has enabled us to raise the profile of staff that have developed materials. In the entries we received our staff often didn't consider their work anything particularly out of the ordinary, but the awards have allowed us to highlight what they have created as good practice to the rest of the community in the college.
It's been a chance to help motivate staff and let them get the recognition they deserve."
Phil Wilson
ICLT Manager at South Nottingham College
"The scheme has been an excellent exercise for us - I'm delighted to say that we had a lot of entries, so we decided to give two internal awards in addition from our own funds and overall we generated several case studies.
"The presentations went down an absolute storm with the staff and created a lot of interest. We've also asked our winner to run some internal training sessions for other members of staff so that they can adopt his good practice too."
Award winners
Every winner of an award will enter our Hall of Fame on this website. They may be used as exemplars of good practice across the region and their ideas will be disseminated through our various communication channels and events. This may include developing a case study for the Excellence Gateway website.
