How we support you
The RSC offers a range of services to support the development of e-learning and new technologies in identified learning providers within the post-16 education and training sector in the East Midlands. We support strategic managers, operational managers and practitioners.
Services to individual providers
Your RSC can help you work towards e-maturity by providing a number of bespoke services tailored to your organisation including:
- Advice and guidance
- A selection of review tools - e-Progress Review (ePR), Curriculum Review, VLE review, Organisational ICT Review
- Technical Infrastructure check
- Funding and project support

Services to the whole sector
Your RSC also provides generic services across the whole post-16 education and training sector such as:
- Regional Communication channels
- Training events and workshops
- Regional Forums
- Our Moodle platform (for resources and event materials)
- Our Technical microsite
- Our Data Dashboards microsite
- Regional Awards Scheme
- Brokerage with regional partners
- National resources on a variety of key themes (see top left navigation box)
Why use your Regional Support Centre?
Using your RSC will enable you to draw on informed, independent expertise based on effective practice in the post-16 education and training sector and elsewhere.
With the exception of our training events, these services are all free to the learning providers that the RSC supports throughout the East Midlands region.
Nick Abraham from South Leicestershire College explains how his organisation has received support from JISC RSC East Midlands. This has included a review of their Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), an ILT survey with learners and support in use of the LSIS Generator tool for measuring e-progress within an organisation.
