Employer engagement
Learning providers, at whatever level, need to be able to respond to the needs of employers with flexibility. They need to focus on customer expectation and efficiency of service. The uses of technology which support relationships with employers are not complex, but they are not currently widely used.
Programmes of learning based in the workplace need to streamline the delivery of learning whilst enhancing the richness of the learning experience. RSCs support the appropriate use of technology, accompanied by proper training of staff and learners, to reduce costs. The levels of study and training supported by RSCs range from the first stages of apprenticeship schemes in work-based learning providers through to degree level in higher education organisations.
