e-Safety
Managing and monitoring access to content online has become central to teaching and learning delivery. In the diverse delivery in the post-16 sector, this cannot be managed in the same way as it is in schools. E-safety must be a two-way process; both learner and provider have responsibilities to fulfil. That is why we use the term e-responsibility and focus on promoting digital values, protecting digital identity and learning how to behave responsibly online to protect yourself and others.
We offer support in the following areas:
- Awareness workshops on e-responsible behaviours
- Strategic advice on implementation across the organisation
- Resources for promoting and implementing Digital Values
- Help in assessing your e-safety practice relevant to your sector
- Staff development - formal and informal CPD opportunities
The RSC in your region will be able to support your organisation directly to make good use of our online resource as a strategic tool; to help you assess your current e-safety practice and to develop the necessary skills and resources that will enable legal compliance, help meet inspection requirements, and identify and manage risk appropriately. Your RSC will also be able to offer both strategic and practical support and respond to specific sector and regional issues.
