Inclusivity
The Inclusivity section of our website is dedicated to promoting accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of e-learning. We are supported by the leading educational advisory service, JISC Techdis - a UK wide JISC organisation in the fields of accessibility and inclusion.
We aim to share knowledge advice and resources, promoting best practice and raising awareness of accessibility issues and assistive technology. This section of the website will identify how to integrate accessibility strategies to support you and your learner.
We offer support in the following areas:
- Strategic advice and guidance for integrating inclusive practice into the learning environment
- Support for staff development, including resources, self evaluation and Moodle courses
- Best practice case studies promoting the use of assistive technology with learners
- Information regarding the Single Equality Duty
- Safeguarding and e-safety advice and support for practitioner and vulnerable learners
- Open source software eg. Xerte and Moodle for the creation of learning objects
"RSCs work in close partnership with JISC TechDis so that issues relating to the experience of disabled students can be influenced on a national scale through work with funders, awarding bodies, publishing industry, sector skill councils and technology suppliers etc.
