Learner support
RSCs advise on the use of technology to support learners, based on the development of inclusive approaches. Support is aimed at those uses which may not be a direct part of the teaching or training process but which enable learners to be supported with their own particular learning issues through timely interventions or open availability.
The scope also covers communications and support systems which help the work of Learning Support Officers, an identified role in many organisations working in support of teachers/lecturers.
There is considerable overlap of the remit for this area with information, advice and guidance and inclusivity as well as aspects of assessment and learner voice.
