JISC RSC SW produces case studies on behalf of the Excellence Gateway to highlight good e-practice at providers, covering all sectors from FE, ACL, WBL and Specialist Colleges.
The purpose of the case studies is to highlight exemplary practice in education and we encourage providers to use these to gain knowledge that may help to provide the inspiration to make positive improvements at their institution.
The main focus of the case studies for good e-practice covers three main stands of the National Improvement Strategy, these are:
- Improving teaching and learning
- Improving responsiveness to learners
- Improving institutional effectiveness

The Excellence Gateway is the complete online service for everyone working in the further education and skills sector in England. It provides the practical help you need to improve your everyday work and innovate in teaching and learning. It also enables you to share your professional knowledge and examples of effective practice with other practitioners.

The Excellence Gateway provides thousands of examples of effective practice and support documents to help develop your knowledge and skills which are free of charge to review and download. A wealth of material from learning and skills organisers and leading online resources is also available as well as information from The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) existing programmes and services.
