Keeping you informed

Keeping you informed

Sharing and disseminating information about e-learning is crucial to our service. We use a variety of media to distribute news, events alerts and information about the RSC and JISC Advance, as well as wider developments in e-learning, to supported learning providers. You can choose how you want to be kept informed by the RSC, and are free to join our network of learning providers to share ideas and best practice.

E-mail updates

As a subscriber to our learning provider community, you will be one of the first to know the latest news and hear about the latest RSC events. Plus, once you've registered, there is no need to complete your details again to book for RSC events.

To join, simply visit http://info.rsc-wm.ac.uk/register and complete the registration form. You can also update your information at any time, or request its removal.

JISCMail lists

The RSC also manages several e-mail discussion lists via the JISCMail service. These lists enable learning providers to share best practice, and exchange thoughts and ideas.

RSC West Midlands currently manages the following lists:

To join any of the lists above, simply follow the relevant link to the list which interests you and register.

Social media/web 2.0

You can follow the latest updates from the JISC RSC West Midlands via Twitter and Facebook.

You can also subscribe to RSS feeds for our news and events via the respective pages.

Our e-learning advisers have individual blogs which keep learning providers informed of the latest news relevant to their sector or area of expertise:

Wiki

The RSC WM Wiki is packed with useful resources, information, advice and tips on a wide variety of e-learning topics including accessibility, learning spaces, Web 2.0, plagiarism and much more. You can also find out about the latest RSC projects, and, if you've missed an RSC, you can access all the relevant presentations and resources.

Access the wiki here or follow the link on our home page. We value the experiences and expertise of our learning providers and welcome your contributions, so if there is an article you would like to share, please contact Kirsty Hill by e-mail at kirsty.hill@rsc-wm.ac.uk

Newsletters

The RSC West Midlands Newsletter is published twice a year and brings you the latest news from the RSC, e-learning tips and tricks, examples of good practice and a guide to our forthcoming events.

The newsletter is available to view in a page turning format or can be downloaded as a pdf via the Issuu website.

We also produce a bi-annual update specifically for Senior Managers which focuses on key issues such as e-learning strategy, safeguarding and business processes.
